Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cygnusworks website, accounts, and related services at cygnusworks.com (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. The game client itself is also covered by the End User License Agreement.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Services. By using them you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. One person may not maintain accounts to abuse, evade bans, or distort leaderboards.

3. Pilot names

You choose a pilot name when you play Meridian Void. Pilot names are personal to your account. We may reclaim, rename, or refuse names that are impersonating, offensive, infringing, or otherwise in breach of these Terms. A pilot name confers no ownership and is not a guarantee of any particular launch date.

4. Virtual items and purchases

Badges, achievements, standings, cosmetics, and other in-account or in-game items have no monetary value, are licensed not sold, and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash except where we expressly allow it. We may add, modify, or retire badges and cosmetics and reset or adjust standings to keep things fair.

Meridian Void is free to play. We may offer optional purchases (such as cosmetic items or account perks); we do not sell competitive advantage. Purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record, subject to their terms, and you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable taxes. What you buy is a limited license to virtual items, not ownership of them, and it may be revoked if you breach these Terms. Except where the law requires otherwise or we state otherwise at the point of sale, purchases are final and non-refundable. Prices, offers, and availability may change at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Break the law or infringe anyone's rights using the Services.
Cheat, exploit, automate, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage, or interfere with other players.
Probe, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Services or their infrastructure.
Reverse engineer or circumvent security except where the law expressly permits it.
Upload malware or post unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.

6. Our content and yours

The Services, Meridian Void, and all related trademarks, art, and code are owned by Cygnusworks or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. Anything you submit (for example a pilot name or feedback) remains yours, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the Services. We may use feedback without obligation to you.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Services or other players. You may stop at any time and delete your account from the account deletion page. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Pre-launch features may change or be removed.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cygnusworks will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the Services. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cygnusworks is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. [Insert governing jurisdiction and dispute-resolution terms after legal review.]
